Lee County Red Cross sheltering 2,491 residents in four shelters
FORT MYERS, April 14 – The American Red Cross of Lee County is currently sheltering 2,491 flood-affected residents in four shelters. Based on information from the National Weather Center, the Red Cross does not expect the shelter population to grow further.
There are service centers operating at each of the four shelters. These service centers provide emergency personal necessities as well as client case workers, who can provide information on future resources.
Service centers are also donation financial drop-off sites. Financial contributions can be made at the service centers, on the web at arclcc.org or by contacting the chapter at 278-3401.
